I’m Shay Foster, and I’ve been passionate about animals my entire life. From starting in 4H and volunteering at a local horse rescue, to working with dogs, cats, horses, goats, pigs, and even aquatics and exotics, I’ve gained hands-on experience with a wide range of pets.
I’ve also had the privilege of working with dog and horse breeders as well as veterinarians in Germany and Indiana as well as skilled groomers and Equestrian teams which helped me refine my knowledge of animal care. I started Foster’s Critter Keepers to share this passion with my community and provide safe, loving, and enrichment-focused care for pets of all kinds.

Dog Walking
A Well-Exercised Dog Is a Happy Dog
Every dog is unique, and that’s why my walks are designed with tailored enrichment and care. Some dogs enjoy a calm, peaceful stroll, while others need a little more adventure and mental stimulation. Either way, they’ll get hands-on attention, safe supervision, and time to explore and enjoy the outdoors.
Walks are available for dogs of all breeds and sizes. I’m fully insured and certified, so you can have peace of mind knowing your dog is in good hands.
A complimentary meet-and-greet and trial walk is included to make sure your dog is comfortable and happy before regular visits begin.

Mobile Nail Trims
Nail care isn't just for humans!
Proper nail care is an important part of keeping your pets healthy and comfortable. Foster’s Critter Keepers provides mobile nail care appointments for dogs, cats, and small animals, so your pets can get professional attention without leaving home.
Trims start at $25, with the option to add a filing tool or Dremel for an additional $5. I bring all the supplies and experience to you, covering Lafayette and West Lafayette, and make sure every visit is calm, safe, and tailored to your pet’s needs.
Farm Sitting Services
Horses and cows and pigs, oh my!
Foster’s Critter Keepers provides personalized farm care for horses, goats, pigs, and other livestock. Every visit is designed with tailored enrichment and care, making sure your animals are fed, watered, and comfortable while keeping their routines consistent and stress-free.
Base farm visits start at $40 and include feeding, fresh water, and general care. Additional services such as turnout, bringing animals in for meals, administering supplements, or extra handling can be added based on your farm’s specific needs. Travel within the Lafayette/West Lafayette area is included.
Whether it is a single visit or regular care while you are away, I make sure your animals are safe, healthy, and well cared for, giving you peace of mind no matter the size of your farm.
Pet Waste and Pasture Cleanup

Foster’s Critter Keepers offers reliable pet waste and pasture clean up for dogs, livestock, and farm animals. Each visit is handled with care and attention to detail to make sure your property stays clean, safe, and comfortable for your animals.
Services include removing waste, maintaining clean pastures, and proper disposal. Visits can be scheduled regularly or as needed based on your property and your animals’ needs. Travel within the West Lafayette and Lafayette area is included.

Pet Taxi

Foster’s Critter Keepers offers pet transportation for appointments, grooming, boarding, or any other needs. I provide a calm and safe environment so your pets arrive happy and relaxed, whether it is a quick trip or a longer ride.
All trips are handled with care and attention to each pet’s comfort. I can accommodate dogs, cats, and small animals, and will ensure they are secured safely during transport. Travel within the West Lafayette and Lafayette area, with longer trips available upon request.
